What happens in the video, beat by beat

All the big versions share one fixed, front-on wide shot: a raw concrete wall, a long knee-high concrete bench, and two identical small round steel tables fixed to the front of the bench, about a metre apart. Both people hold brown takeaway coffee cups, and both stay fully in frame. There are no cuts.

Timings below are from the most-shared version (about 21 seconds):

0–5 s, the confident newcomer. The first person is perched on top of the left table, knees up, feet resting on the bench, sipping coffee and glancing around, trying to look relaxed.
6–9 s, the regular walks in. A stylish woman with a small designer bag walks in from the right, sits down on the bench and puts her cup on the right-hand table, using it as a table. She does not touch the other table.
9–15 s, the realisation. The first person looks at her, then at her cup, and works out that the round thing they are sitting on is a table. Awkward pause. She ignores them completely.
15–18 s, the climb down. They clamber off the table, sit on the bench and put their own cup on their table.
18–21 s, nothing happened. Both sit side by side normally; the newcomer stares into the camera, straight-faced.

A common mistake: some sites describe the stranger putting her cup on the table the first person is sitting on. That is not what happens in the viral versions: she uses the other table, and the newcomer figures it out alone. That quiet, self-inflicted realisation is the joke.

Who is in it

In the original posts, the person on the table is usually a man and the person who walks in is a woman dressed up: a black dress, or a dark or grey suit.
Outfits are often colour-matched (both in black, both in grey, both in camel).
